I love this time of year – so many parties, get togethers, and dinners and so much delicious food!! I have a rule that I never show up to a party or dinner empty-handed. Sometimes I go for the easy bottle of wine but I really love taking a delicious appetizer. No hostess will turn down a beautiful dish that she/he didn’t have to make themselves!
Here are my top 5 holiday appetizers that are perfect for ANY party (holiday or not):

A Barefoot Contessa favorite!! Beautiful, elegant, and SO delicious! I took this to a dinner party once and it has become my go-to party appetizer ever since.
2. Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms
Another Barefoot Contessa fav! I always make these for a Thanksgiving appetizer and they disappear so quickly! The recipe makes more than enough filling but I always make a little extra and put it over pasta the next day for dinner. It is fantastic!!
3. Ritz Carlton Lodge Spiced Pecans
I love Spiced Pecans! Anytime I have a nice dinner party or holiday party, I make sure to make a batch of these. They are the perfect easy finger food. They also make beautiful gifts for teachers, friends, etc.

4. Sausage Balls
When are Sausage Balls NOT a good idea?? It’s a crowd favorite! When I take them to parties, I like to plate a large batch but also put a few in a container for the hostess the next morning.
5. Beef Wellington Bites
Talk about a fancy and sophisticated appetizer! Sometimes a party needs a more substantial appetizer and this recipe is perfect for that! Grilled steak with Dijon and mushrooms, all wrapped in a delicious puff pastry – it doesn’t get much better than that!
