Breakfast Pizza
Waking up to this delicious Breakfast Pizza is the best start to the day! It’s savory and cheesy with crumbled sausage and cooked on buttery crescent roll dough. It’s like a breakfast casserole (always a favorite of mine) but served on top of the dough.
If you have a round pan, you can use it instead of a normal baking sheet and cut it just like a pizza. I prefer to use a baking sheet and cut it into squares.
This breakfast dish is super simple to make and will be on the table in about 30 minutes.
How to assemble the pizza:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Brown your sausage and set it to the side.
- In a large bowl, add the eggs and a couple of tablespoons of milk. Scramble it all together.
- Roll out the crescent roll dough but don’t separate into triangles like you would if you were actually making crescent rolls. On a baking pan or cookie sheet with a lip, spread the dough out to fit the pan, pushing it up the sides of the pan to create the “crust”.
- Pour the scrambled eggs onto the dough, top with the crumbled sausage and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cook in a 350 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes.
Breakfast Pizza
Delicious breakfast pizza made with eggs, cheese, and sausage. The perfect start to any day!
Ingredients
- 1 container of crescent rolls
- 1 lb mild sausage (or turkey sausage if preferred)
- 8 eggs, scrambled
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350.
- Brown the sausage. Once browned, remove to a plate with a paper towel to drain.
- In a large bowl, add eggs and a couple of tablespoons of milk. Scramble together.
- Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray. Roll the crescent rolls out and don't separate them as you would if you were actually making crescent rolls. Using your fingers or a small rolling pin, spread the dough out so it fits onto the baking sheet. Press the dough up the sides of the pan.
- Pour the scrambled eggs over the dough, making sure all of the dough is covered. Don't worry if some of the egg mixture flows around the sides of the dough. Next, sprinkle the cooked sausage over the eggs and then top it with the shredded cheese.
- Cook at 350 for about 20-25 minutes or until the eggs are cooked and the dough is browned.
