Midnight French Toast

Although this recipe can be made anytime of the day, trust me when I say eating Midnight French Toast around midnight is just so much better! This is a simple, quick recipe using ingredients you definitely have on hand. Just be sure to make a little extra to have the next morning! I’m not much of a breakfast person – but give me breakfast for dinner or after a late night out and I am suddenly ALL about it! Perfectly sweet with just a little crisp and then drizzled with syrup, my Midnight French Toast will become a meal you crave! It is comforting, delicious, and the perfect end to an evening.

Here’s how I make my Midnight French Toast:

Step 1: In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.

Step 2: Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, letting it soak for a few seconds on each side.

Step 3: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted and bubbling, place the soaked bread slices                         in the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy on the edges.

Step 4: Transfer the French toast to a plate and serve warm with maple syrup, a dusting of powdered sugar, fresh fruit or                           bacon.
