My Apple, Fig, & Brie Grilled Cheese is simply delicious! Fig jam, crispy apples, and creamy Brie grilled between two pieces of buttery, toasty bread. The basic grilled cheese just got a HUGE upgrade!
I L-O-V-E a grilled cheese! I think the sandwich is probably one of my all-time favorite comfort foods. But sometimes I. want to fancy up my grilled cheese with new ingredients. This Apple, Fig, & Brie grilled cheese is a little fancy, simple to make, and SO delicious! Eat it for lunch or cut it up into small squares and serve as a beautiful appetizer!
Here’s how to make my Apple, Fig, & Brie Grilled Cheese:
- Using your favorite bread, spread a thin layer of the fig jam or preserves on one side of each slice of bread.
- Slice the cheese into medium thickness slices and place on top of one slice of bread, on top of the fig jam.
- Cut the apples into thin slices and add on top of the Brie.
- Sprinkle with salt & pepper.
- Top with the remaining piece of bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium/high heat. Add a pat of butter to the pan. Once the butter has melted, add the sandwich to the pan. Cover the pan and cook for about 1-2 minutes, making sure not to burn the sandwich. Once one side has browned, add another pat of butter to the pan and flip the sandwich over and cook on the other side, covering again so the cheese melts.
- When the cheese has melted and the sandwich is toasted, remove from the pan and cut in half.

- 2 slices of your favorite sandwich bread
- 1/2 apple, sliced thin
- 4 oz Brie cheese, sliced to medium thickness
- 2 tbsp fig jam or preserves
- salt & pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
