Apple & Brie Puffs

Apple & Brie Puffs are a sophisticated, beautiful appetizer perfect for the holidays!   Melted brie and crispy apples are cooked inside a puff pastry puff and served alongside fig jam.

My favorite part of the holidays – outside of the lights and trees, of course – is the food!  And mainly the appetizers!!  I love going to parties and seeing tables full of delicious, bite-size appetizers.  It’s the perfect way to get a little bite of everything without sitting down for a meal.

These Apple & Brie Puffs are packed full of the delicious flavors of bight, crispy apples and creamy brie.  And the fig jam dolloped on top or served on the side adds just the right sweetness.    These puffs would be perfect as a Thanksgiving dinner appetizer or any holiday party!

Here’s how to make Apple & Brie Puffs:

  • Lay a sheet of puff pastry out on a cutting board.  Cut the sheet into 3 even squares.
  • Cut apples into thin slices and then cut those slices in half.
  • Slice the brie into small slices.
  • In the center of each puff pastry square, add a few apple pieces and a piece of brie.  Brush the edges of the dough with egg wash.  Fold up each corner of the puff pastry so they all meet in the center and gently push them together so it looks like a little present.
  • Brush the tops of all of the puffs with egg wash.
  • Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes or until the puffs turn brown.
  • Remove from the oven and place on a serving tray with a side of fig jam.
