Honey Garlic Pork Tenderloin

My Honey Garlic Pork Tenderloin is simple, quick, and packs a delicious sweet and savory flavor, leaving the pork tender and delicious! This quick recipe is perfect for a busy weeknight or a special occasion.

Pork tenderloin is one of the most versatile cuts of meat you can cook. Known for its tenderness and mild flavor, pork soaks up marinades and flavor, resulting in such great taste.  You can use the same marinades for tenderloin as you can for pork chops or chopped pork.

I have a so many favorite pork tenderloin recipes! All are marinated in some mixture of garlic, brown sugar or honey, soy sauce, mustard and vinegar. I just love the sweet and savory combo on pork. The brown sugar or honey creates a type of glaze while the acid from the vinegar or mustard gives it a nice bite.

Here’s how I make my Honey Garlic Pork Tenderloin:

Step 1: Start by preheating your oven to 375.

Step 2: Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels. Drizzle with olive oil. Make a rub of the paprika, garlic powder, brown sugar, salt & pepper. Run the tenderloin with the spice rub.

Step 3: Heat a large skillet to high heat. Once it is hot, add 2 tbsp of olive oil and sear each side of the tenderloin.

Step 4: In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, Dijon mustard, and honey. Stir until the ingredients combine into a thick paste. Pour this mixture all over the pork tenderloin, making sure it’s well-coated on all sides. Season generously with a little more salt and pepper.

Step 5: After searing, transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Roast for about 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Pork tenderloin cooks quickly, so be sure to check the temperature with a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking.

Step 6:  Slice the pork tenderloin. Serve with roasted potatoes and a green veggie on the side.

A few tips…

• Resting the Meat: Letting the pork tenderloin rest after roasting is essential. This allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the meat juicy and tender when sliced.

• Don’t Overcook: Pork tenderloin can dry out quickly if overcooked. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the perfect doneness. The ideal internal temperature is 145°F.

• Variations: Feel free to experiment with different herbs, such as sage or parsley, or add a splash of balsamic vinegar to the sauce for an added depth of flavor.
