Supreme Stromboli

My Supreme Stromboli is like a supreme pizza rolled up and served with a delicious, warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 prepared raw pizza dough (I like the pre-rolled out dough sold in the bakery at the grocery store)
  • 1/2 lb cooked Italian sausage
  • 2-3 oz pepperoni
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup jarred pizza sauce
  • 1 egg mixed with 1 tbsp of water
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1-2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Prepare the toppings. Cook the Italian sausage and put it to the side. Cut the green bell peppers into strips.
  • Roll the dough out into a rectangle.  Top the dough with pizza sauce, then the shredded mozzarella, sausage, and green bell peppers. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning. 
  • Begin rolling the stromboli up starting with the wide side of the dough. Brush the top of the stromboli with an egg wash (1 egg mixed with a little water and stirred together).  Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and some garlic powder.  Make 4-5 cuts down the stromboli.  
  • Place stromboli on a baking sheet and bake for 25-35 minutes or until top of stromboli is browned and crispy.
