Classic Beef Stroganoff is pure comfort food! Packed full of flavor with ground beef, mushrooms, and onions served in a delicious sauce over egg noodles. This is always a family favorite!
Bring a pot of water to boil and cook the egg noodles as the package recommends.
Brown 1 lb of ground beef in a large skillet. As it browns, add a little sprinkle of salt and pepper.
Once browned, add the chopped onions (1 onion) and mushrooms. Add as many mushrooms as you like. Cook until the mushrooms are soft.
Add 2-3 tbsp tomato paste, 2 tsp of Worcestershire, one beef bouillon cube, 1/2 cup of beef consomme, and 1 tsp of paprika. Combine all of the ingredients.
Turn the heat down a little and add 8 oz of sour cream and 3 tbsp of milk (or heavy cream if you prefer). Stir together. The mixture should be creamy but thick.
Taste to see if you need more salt or pepper. Serve on top of the egg noodles.
