Ham and Cheese Sliders are a perfect tailgate or party food but also a great lunchbox item. Ham, cheese, and a delicious butter sauce. Make them ahead of time and you'll have lunch all week!
Take the rolls out of the tray, keeping them intact, and cut the rolls in half lengthwise so you have a top and a bottom. (See picture)
In a small bowl, melt the butter. Once it is melted, add 1/4 cup of minced onion, 2-3 tbsp of dijon mustard, and 1 tsp of poppyseeds. Stir to combine. It will be thick - that's what you want!
Open the rolls. On the bottom half, add the cheese slices and top with the ham. Transfer the rolls to a baking dish.
Pour the butter mixture over the ham and cheese, covering all the sides of the rolls as well. Place the other half of the rolls on top.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until all the cheese has melted and the tops are toasted.
Before serving, cut the sliders apart using a sharp knife.
