These 3-bites Wonton Tacos are the perfect way to serve a crowd for Taco Tuesday or a Mexican themed fiesta! They are also great as a hearty appetizer!
Pour 1/2 cup of vegetable oil into a small skillet. Let it heat up for 3-5 minutes.
Once the oil is hot, place a wonton wrapper in the oil. As soon as it starts to bubble, grab the wonton with a pair of tongs and bend it in half (like a taco shell), holding it in place with the tongs. Let it get crispy on both sides of the wonton. Once crispy, take the shell out of the oil and lay it upside down.
To make the taco meat:
Heat a medium skillet over medium/high heat. Add a tbsp of olive oil or use non-stick spray to coat the bottom of the pan.
Once hot, add the ground beef or turkey to the skillet and cook until no longer pink.
Add 3 tbsp of fajita seasoning to the meat, stir to combine, and then add 1/4 cup of water. Turn the heat to low and let the meat soak up the seasonings and water for a few minutes. Once it has soaked up all the flavor, remove from the heat and serve.
Assemble tacos with your preferred toppings and enjoy!
